American Idol 2010: Sucks!Posted by HookedonIdol in X Factor America, X Factor, Site Blog, Simon Cowell, Judges, Auditions, American Idol |
Maybe it's just me.
I think American Idol 2010 absolutely sucks!
I find myself, given the shallowness of the American Idol talent pool, now recording each show, rather than watching it live, simply because I find myself fast-forwarding past singer after singer.
I blame the American Idol judges for this, too.
Simon rejected half of these talentless clowns, yet they found their way into the top 24!?!
Honestly, I am hard-pressed to find more than 2 contestants that can actually sing and are truly American Idol material!
Simon Cowell is, as always, genius for cutting and running as far away from American Idol as he can, instead focusing on his X Factor show he is bringing to America.
Hopefully, he'll bring some talent with him, too, as I really do think that American Idol 2010 sucks!

Its rude to constantly harp on something that has already been said. And it's disgusting to watch older adults behave they way they do.
BTW kara looked like a flying jellyfish on Tues. I guess some of her weave was taken out or something weird did with her hair.

I like how Ellen liked everyone, now, just to change it up and be less predictable, is borrowing from the so-called "dog" and calling every performance "pitchy."
She might know women, but she doesn't have a clue about singer competitions.
One loves the sone, one hatred it; one thought they need to see a more relevant song, another judge thought it was "forced" or "pushed" or "honest" or "insert-stupid-American-Idol-judge-comment-here."
Simon must be interanlly laughing...all the way to the bank.

Overall, I feel Simon has taken pitty on this cast of nervouse wanna be's and has been tempering his criticism in an attempt to nurture some amount of much needed confidence among this years contestants. I think Randy is just, you know... "keep'n it real". Then you have Ellen, a comedian who refuses to be funny therfore, rendering her absolutely useless on the panell. As for this Dioguardi person, could someone please remind me who this woman is... and if you run into her... could you ask her to spare us the condesending, queen of the world, God's gift to music routine. Nobody knows who the hell you are sweetie... and I for one would like to know who the hell you think you are.
Ellen and Dioguardi need to figure out that they have to be television broadcasters first, then, judges of a singing contest... Without a connection between themselfs and the viewing audience there words have no legitimacy and they just take up space with their big ears and blow hard opinions.
Who could have guessed that Paula quiting Idol would end up being the -best- career move she ever made?

Every one of these singers is so-so. The young kid who just got eliminated was the only one with potential for the guys and MommaSocks has the most potential for the gals but still... nothing special.
They are down to 4 contestants and STILL they can't come up with anything special. I do not think these singers will sell records either. What a joke. This year is going to kill Idol.

The judges are too critical. There are not many talented singers(2-3 maybe) and its a waste of time to vote.
The winner is chosen based on who will sell the most records and make the most money for them. NOT ON TALENT
last year was better-- and even last year the contestants with the most talent lost out to the contestant that was the most bland and boring.
